Getting On At Work

Whatever stage you are at in life, learning new skills can improve your career prospects. Government research projects that in future there will be fewer jobs available for people lacking skills – which means that having skills and gaining new ones is likely to become increasingly important as time goes by.

If you are currently in work or volunteering, you may be able to receive training through your employer via the Apprenticeship or Train to Gain programmes.

Of course, there is nothing to prevent you from arranging your own training and in many cases; financial help is available through Learning and Skills Council.

Benefits For Employers

Most employers are happy to support their workers’ in learning new skills because the net result is they may benefit directly:

  • Having a skilled workforce helps boost productivity and profitability
  • Better skilled and more productive workforce can mean greater job satisfaction and less staff turnover
  • Training schemes can be tailored specifically to meet the needs of an employer and its workforce
  • Employer may receive financial help to meet the costs

MPH Customer Centred Training provides both Apprenticeships and Train to Gain programmes in Business Administration, Customer Service, Team Leading, Information Technology, Management (all fully accredited qualifications) and we also offer a variety of professional short courses.
